About the Conference   The 4th International Zinc Smelting, Recycling and Environmental Conference will be held in Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China from December 4-6, 2024. The International Zinc Association will provide technical advice and co-host the conference with Yunxi Wenshan Zinc & Indium Smelting Co., Ltd.and Kunming University of Science and Technology. The conference invites the world’s leading companies and relevant experts in the field of zinc smelting & refining, recycling and environment protection to report on the latest technology and equipment developments achieved in different countries and regions of the world. The focus will be on zinc smelting and recycling processes, equipment, and environmental protection, especially highlighting the resource utilization of waste residue in zinc smelting, improving the recovery rate of valuable metals, and how to reduce the pressure of waste residue storage and environmental risks. The conference will foster in-depth exchange and interactive learning. The production and consumption of zinc in China account for nearly 50% of the world's zinc industry, but environmental protection, safety, and cost pressures have never been as urgent as they are today, and have become the key to the survival and development of companies. Process innovations, production experience, and Chinese plant standards have made remarkable progress in the past, and yet innovation and application of new technologies continue to emerge. This conference will also discuss global market trends for zinc and key downstream uses, the latest environmental policies, laws and regulations related to zinc production and application in China, Europe and America. During the conference, participants will be invited to join plant visits of Yunxi Wenshan Zinc & Indium Smelting Co., Ltd. and Yunnan Hualian Zinc & Indium Stock Co., Ltd. Simultaneous interpretation in Chinese and English will be provided for all conference sessions.   Call for PapersSubmission Deadline: October 31st We welcome papers from experts of the zinc and zinc-related industries globally. After conducting a basic compliance review, all papers will be included in the conference proceedings, and the authors are responsible for the scientific, rigorous, and authentic nature of the papers. If possible, please provide both Chinese and English versions of the paper including the author's contact information and address for easy communication during and after the conference. It has about 3.5 million inhabitants. Wenshan is richly endowed with valuable minerals and metals including the blue hemimorphite, a zinc silicate mineral associated with zinc and lead ores. The most famous tourist attraction is the nearby Puzhehei Scenic Area, home to spectacular karst limestone mountains surrounded by wetlands with a unique subtropical ecosystem. Other popular destinations include Yuxian Lake and Liujing Cave. Wenshan has a subtropical climate with relatively constant temperatures throughout the year.
